UTTOXETER'S oldest choir have brought the house down at a pre- Christmas concert celebrating the works of Mozart and Schubert. The Uttoxeter Choral Society, founded in 1881, took to the stage at St Mary’s Parish Church led for the first time by conductor Anthony Rose.

With more than 100 years of music making under its belt, it cannot be said the Uttoxeter Choral Society (UCS) do not know how to make music. Yet, over the last few years the confidence of its 70-plus choristers has slipped.
UTTOXETER'S oldest and most celebrated choir will be performing a classical concert inspired by the music of Mozart and Schubert later this month.
